Kota Kinabalu, 16 July - The Sabah International Convention Center (SICC) witnessed a remarkable two-day event that celebrated MRB Apparel along with more than 100 vendors from all over Sabah, in conjunction with SME Corp as main organizer.
Minggu PMKS (SME Week), focusing on empowering entrepreneurs and local businesses in Sabah, Malaysia. Held on 15th and 16th July, the event aimed to foster the growth of micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) in the region.
The event commenced with an enlightening seminar, where industry experts and successful entrepreneurs shared insights into business planning, marketing strategies, financial management, and leveraging technology. Interactive workshops followed, equipping participants with practical tools and solutions to thrive in today's competitive business landscape.
The bustling business exhibition showcased the diversity of local MSMEs' products and services, creating networking opportunities with potential customers, partners, and investors.
Among the diverse range of MSMEs that actively participated in the event was MRB Apparel. A prominent local player in the fashion industry, MRB Apparel showcased its unique and trendy clothing line during the bustling business exhibition.
Day two brought excitement with business pitching and match-making sessions, providing aspiring entrepreneurs a chance to present their innovative ideas to a panel of judges and local retail representative including 7Eleven Malaysia.
Panel discussions featuring established entrepreneurs inspired the audience, emphasizing the importance of supporting MSMEs in driving economic growth in Sabah.
The ceremony was officiated by YB Datuk Dr. Jeffery Gapari Kitingan, Deputy Chief Minister of Sabah; YB Ewon Benedict, Minister of Entrepreneur Development of Cooperatives of Malaysia and YB Phong Jin Zhe, Minister of Industrial Development and Entrepreneurship of Sabah.
Via SME Corp.Minggu PMKS, in collaboration with SME Corporation Malaysia, has laid the foundation for a vibrant entrepreneurial ecosystem in Sabah, promising future initiatives to empower businesses and contribute to economic prosperity.
